Following Speed Darlington’s release from detention, his legal representative, Stan Alieke, issued a detailed statement through Instagram, addressing the controversy that led to the artist’s arrest.

The incident stemmed from a petition filed by Burna Boy, which had prompted Speed Darlington’s detention.

In his statement, Alieke highlighted that Speed Darlington’s content is designed to be engaging and fun, never meant to cause offense.

He clarified that the remarks made in one of the controversial videos were intended as humor and not intended to defame anyone.

Specifically, Alieke stressed that the comment about Burna Boy’s mother was an unfortunate slip, rather than a deliberate insult.

Speed Darlington, in a bid to smooth over any misunderstandings, has privately reached out to Burna Boy and his team to offer a clarification and extend an olive branch.

His gesture reflects a commitment to resolving the matter amicably and ensuring that no ill feelings persist between them.

Alieke’s message serves to clear any lingering misconceptions, reinforcing that Speed Darlington bears no animosity toward Burna Boy or his family.

The statement underlines the artist’s intent to maintain peace, showing respect for the seriousness of the situation while emphasizing his desire to move forward in a positive light.
