Super Falcons striker Chinonyerem Macleans has completed a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab, leaving Russian side Locomotiv Moscow.

The 25-year-old forward spent two successful years in Moscow, where she scored 14 goals in 33 league appearances.

Macleans’ signing brings the number of Nigerian players at Al-Shabab to three, joining her compatriots Rita Chikwelu and Chinaza Agoh, both key members of the squad.

During her unveiling, Macleans expressed her enthusiasm about the move, stating: “I’m excited to join Al Shabab Women FC and contribute to the team’s success. Saudi Arabia’s vision for women’s football is inspiring, and I’m proud to be part of this journey.”

She was also part of Nigeria’s Super Falcons squad for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
