Tinubu reappoints Prof Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe as CMD of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, for a second and final term of four years.

The reappointment, effective from December 5, 2023, was announced on August 21, 2024, by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity.

Professor Sheshe’s first appointment as CMD began on December 6, 2019, and his leadership has been pivotal in the hospital’s efforts to provide quality healthcare services.

As he enters his final term, President Tinubu has expressed confidence that Professor Sheshe will continue to enhance the hospital’s standards and ensure the efficient delivery of healthcare services to the citizens.

The reappointment signals the administration’s commitment to continuity in healthcare leadership, with a focus on improving medical services in Kano and beyond.
